so earlier 2 day was i was listenin 2 D.O.A. (death of auto) from Jay-Z, and was listenin 2 the message that the song has. now sum ppl i talked 2 have said that the song was a warning or a diss 2 southern rap and the south, now that might seems right becuz most of the acts that use the auto-tune come from the south (i.e. lil wayne and t-pain). now heres the thing we all know jay is kool wit cats from the south, he was the 1 who signed rick ross, and young jeezy 2 def jam, he jumped on tracks with wayne and t.i., and has become close friends wit dj khaled since he jumped on the Go Hard remix. one would say if he's kool wit southern acts, then y make a song call death of auto-tune, and its plain and simple and easy 2 c: the reason 4 the song is 2 bring attention 2 da state of hip-hop and what has become of the industry, which in 2 yrs time has become mainly a gimick. basically this, he telling everybody 2 b ur own person and not copy wut everybody else is doin, and put out quality music, not just wut the fad is at the time. within the songs he makes a statement sayin ( ya bois jeans too tight, ya colors too bright, and vocies too light) he's talkin about the crazy fad that has taken over hip hop, everywhere u turn u have "gangsta rapper" dressin like rock stars, i mean WTF???, now the rock star movement or fad was nice but thats wut it was a fad nun more then that. ive seen grown men catch feelings ova those comments, normally i would a man is a man and can dress how he wants, but in this case im co-signin hov on this, that rock star fad or style is nice when ur a teenager and ur tryin 2 emulate ur favorite artist, but when u 20 u have 2 b bout ur grown man status. i mean its come 2 da point where cats 23-30 are walkin around wit tight jeans, skinny jeans, and bright rainbow color outfits, i mean are u grown or r u desprately tryin 2 hang on 2 ur youth or something, its gettin outta hand. i kno my ladies wouldnt like 4 they dude 2 b wearin jeans skinnier and tighter then wut they wear, right ladies? another reason 4 da comments is due to the growin amount of homosexuals that is plaugin the industry, and as the fad continues to grow more and more, acounts of the number of homosexuals in the industry also grows, i have no problem wit ppl and the prefernce u choose, but it seems like wit this fad they are tryin 2 force it on us. so 2 me the D.O.A. was just the eye opener that the industry and the music community and regular community needed, but its seems like the message still hasnt reached alot of ppl, but i commend hov 4 makin the song and lettin everybody how he feels about the trend and state of hip hop, only time will tell, how long the statement and message of the song will hit home............. and oh yea im from south and i agree wit JAY-Z
