Review of Drake- Thank Me Later album and sales
Well ya boi is back, its been a min lol, now since i been away HIP HOP has changed alot. In that time HIP HOP has lost 2 artist in LIL WAYNE AND LIL BOOSIE to the penal system, and was in a frantic search to find the next GREAT thing to fill the void, and in comes DRAKE. Now dude has come in and crated a buzz not seen since 03 when 50 cent came into the sence with get rich or die tryin'. He became affiliated wit LIL WAYNE and his YOUNG MONEY camp, been on countless mixtapes, even one classic mixtape SO FAR SO GONE(SOLD 70K IN 1 WEEK), has been featured and dropped hot verses along with some of the heavyweights of HIP HOP. Lost in everything was his ability to actually sing on his songs, coming from his early work early in his career. With so many push-backs his album finally arrived in stores on june 15, 2010, it was greated with mixed reviews, and with me giving my opinion on the matter, i seem 2 b called a hater because of my OPINION(smh). The review is as follow: scale of 1-10 i give it a 6 1/2 and here's why, with the lable of being called HIP HOP'S savior, he fell to delieverd on what the buzz crated a classic album, let alone at the very least a great album. Instead he delivers an R&B style album, with a depressing sound with the execptions of OVER and FIND YOUR LOVE(which was the commerical hits) and with the list of guest features, which really saved the album, the beat selection was some of the most horrible beats, i have ever heard. Overall the album really has no replay appeal to it, instead of caterin to a wide rang of fans, he stuck with only pleasing the ladies and nobody else. Now ppl ask me how come he didnt sell a milli or atleast crack 500k frist week, and the answer is very simple in parts 1. the state of music today, doin 468k frist week is a milestone, especially with you album leaking 3 weeks early 2. he never had that 1 big big crossover hit record like sum of the bigs have had (ex. 50 cent-in the club, lil wayne- lollipop, jay-z- empire state of mind, eminem-stan) these songs all have in common of being big big records that touched all fan bases from (ages 13-40+) all races and all genders. Without number 2 he wasnt gonna go platinum in 1 week. Now i kno alot of yall will read this and start sayin all im doin is hatin which is not true, i still give him props, cuz he was able 2 hang in sum songs with the big heavyweights before even droppin an album, so i give him his props where its due, only thing i had a problem with was ppl putting these classification on him, without having atleast an album, and once the album comes out, it fail 2 hit on sum levels, but ppl still brought it, ppl still listen to it, and will continue to support him and thats find, LOYALTY goes along way. I still think he can deliever something big and special(hopefully his next project) and even prove me wrong, but until then, this is where i stand......... AND I HOPE NICKI MINAJ SEES, HOW THINSG WAS HANDLE WITH DRAKE AND SHE DOSENT FALL INTO THE LINE AS HIM, OR IMA HAVE TO MAKE ONE OF HER. TAKE CARE EVERYBODY, THANKS FOR READING.

The Statement Of Jay-Z's song D.O.A.
so earlier 2 day was i was listenin 2 D.O.A. (death of auto) from Jay-Z, and was listenin 2 the message that the song has. now sum ppl i talked 2 have said that the song was a warning or a diss 2 southern rap and the south, now that might seems right becuz most of the acts that use the auto-tune come from the south (i.e. lil wayne and t-pain). now heres the thing we all know jay is kool wit cats from the south, he was the 1 who signed rick ross, and young jeezy 2 def jam, he jumped on tracks with wayne and t.i., and has become close friends wit dj khaled since he jumped on the Go Hard remix. one would say if he's kool wit southern acts, then y make a song call death of auto-tune, and its plain and simple and easy 2 c: the reason 4 the song is 2 bring attention 2 da state of hip-hop and what has become of the industry, which in 2 yrs time has become mainly a gimick. basically this, he telling everybody 2 b ur own person and not copy wut everybody else is doin, and put out quality music, not just wut the fad is at the time. within the songs he makes a statement sayin ( ya bois jeans too tight, ya colors too bright, and vocies too light) he's talkin about the crazy fad that has taken over hip hop, everywhere u turn u have "gangsta rapper" dressin like rock stars, i mean WTF???, now the rock star movement or fad was nice but thats wut it was a fad nun more then that. ive seen grown men catch feelings ova those comments, normally i would a man is a man and can dress how he wants, but in this case im co-signin hov on this, that rock star fad or style is nice when ur a teenager and ur tryin 2 emulate ur favorite artist, but when u 20 u have 2 b bout ur grown man status. i mean its come 2 da point where cats 23-30 are walkin around wit tight jeans, skinny jeans, and bright rainbow color outfits, i mean are u grown or r u desprately tryin 2 hang on 2 ur youth or something, its gettin outta hand. i kno my ladies wouldnt like 4 they dude 2 b wearin jeans skinnier and tighter then wut they wear, right ladies? another reason 4 da comments is due to the growin amount of homosexuals that is plaugin the industry, and as the fad continues to grow more and more, acounts of the number of homosexuals in the industry also grows, i have no problem wit ppl and the prefernce u choose, but it seems like wit this fad they are tryin 2 force it on us. so 2 me the D.O.A. was just the eye opener that the industry and the music community and regular community needed, but its seems like the message still hasnt reached alot of ppl, but i commend hov 4 makin the song and lettin everybody how he feels about the trend and state of hip hop, only time will tell, how long the statement and message of the song will hit home............. and oh yea im from south and i agree wit JAY-Z
